Book Reviews
The Journal of Nonprofit Education and Leadership (JNEL) invites scholars and practitioners to contribute book reviews.
We are specifically in search of a qualified scholar with expertise in the realm of foster care to undertake either a comparative or a single book review. The deadlines for these reviews are set for early spring.
Dettlaff, A. J. (2023). Confronting the Racist Legacy of the American Child Welfare System: The Case for Abolition. Oxford University Press.
Roberts, D. (2022). Torn apart: how the child welfare system destroys black families--and how abolition can build a safer world. Basic Books.
Additionally, we have a two-volume publication, ready for review in December 2023, that delves into the intricate world of finance within the Canadian arts sector. The deadline for this review is set for late spring.
Finance for the Arts in Canada, (2nd Edition), a two-volume work addressing practical instruction in accounting and financial statement preparation (Vol. 1) and financial management in not-for-profit arts organizations (Vol. 2). (FYI, Vol. 1 is ready to go, and Vol. 2 will appear in December.)
If you are interested in sharing your insights by writing a book review, please let me know your interest.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need more details or have any questions about these review opportunities. I will also be at the conference next week if you'd like to learn more about our process for future reviews.
