Abstract

This case history examines the course a patient took throughout treatment with particular attention to the unique role that recreation and therapeutic recreation played, particularly in helping the patient become more assertive in making decisions about alcohol use during his recreation and leisure activities. The case summarizes the patient's background, improvements during treatment, and plans for the future.
