Abstract

Higher education institutions are taking a front role in cultivating sustainability values in their students. It is important to be able to demonstrate when and why students develop a more environmentally conscious world-view and one place this may be happening is in outdoor recreation and education related classes. Previous studies have showed strong pro-environmental attitude among individuals who participate in outdoor recreation and education. This study looked at pro-environmental values of students enrolled in outdoor related classes.
