Editor's Note

This is the first issue which I have the privilege of serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Outdoor Recreation, Education, and Leadership. Since its inaugural issue just less than two years ago, the journal has increased in readership, breadth of manuscript submissions, and active reviewers assisting in the peer review process. I am grateful to the previous Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Aram Attarian, and to the JOREL Advisory Group for their ongoing efforts to assist the journal. We now enter a new phase, one that brings with it opportunities and challenges to grow readership among individuals and subscribing libraries, increase manuscript submissions in content or authorship areas currently underrepresented, and increase the pool of interested and qualified reviewers. I am optimistic about the future of the JOREL and invite you to consider how you might be involved.
