Abstract

Microcomputer usage by park and recreation agencies continues to grow. However, most uses are internally (management) directed. This study reports results of visitor usage of a microcomputer program developed as a means of providing better service to information center visitors. Observation and personal interview research revealed that differences existed between users and nonusers of the system. Differences were primarily age-related. Methods for improving usage of interactive information dissemination systems are discussed.?
