Abstract

Adapted physical education (APE) teachers have reported a lack of meaningful professional development (PD) opportunities available to them, which may be caused by the fact that APE content is unique and APE experts are often not physically accessible. The purpose of this investigation was to analyze the viewership tendencies for a podcast specifically developed for APE. Descriptive data were collected from the “What’s New in APE” podcast and accompanying blog. Between 2015 and 2018, the “What’s New in APE” podcast and accompanying blog have received a total of 73,344 views. Implications for podcast development and use, as well as future research recommendations are also discussed.
