Abstract

The purpose of the article is to introduce situational physical exercise to adapted physical educators to improve the fitness and assist the acquisition of living/working skills of students with developmental disabilities. Project design and procedures are articulated, programs are illustrated to help adapted physical educators to create lessons of situational physical fitness. Through the experiment of an adapted physical education laboratory, the author hopes that situational physical fitness programs can be introduced to the adapted physical education classes to benefit students of developmental disabilities on their independent living/working abilities.
