Abstract

Paul Ritter was a nationally known motorcycle racer who competed in super bike racing around the world. After coming out of retirement to compete again Paul was involved in an accident during a race that left him paralyzed from the chest down. The article recounts Paul’s rehabilitation, physical, emotional and social challenges he faced during his rehabilitation and he overcame these challenges, and how he eventually developed a bike that he could ride using his hands.
