Abstract

This case study explores the inpatient rehabilitation process and the discharge planning undertaken with an adolescent with Prader Willi Syndrome. Recreation Therapy played a primary role in the course of treatment, focusing on issues of weight loss, hygiene, leisure education, community reintegration, and assertiveness. This case study demonstrates the role Recreation Therapy played in the overall development and execution of the treatment plan working in conjunction with various disciplines.
