Abstract

Regional symposia are an important means of continuing education for persons in the therapeutic recreation profession. Recently, greater attention is being given to the formal evaluation ofsymposia and other forms of continuing professional education as a systematic means of improving them. This paper advocates using triangulation as an evaluation technique with illustrations from selected midwestern and southeastern symposia. These methods are applicable whenever systematic evaluation of conferences and continuing education efforts is desirable..
