The Impact of Play and Recreation on Reported Pain Levels in Children with Cancer

Children diagnosed with cancer frequently undergo medical treatments that result in pain. Interventions that involve recreation and play have been used for distraction in order to reduce pain, anxiety, fear and distress in this population. Choice of activity and parental involvement are also important.
