Abstract

The Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC) owes its history to informal conversations beginning over 30 years ago among a small group of individuals who were involved in the emerging field of nonprofit management education. With few formal nonprofit academic centers in existence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the directors of such enterprises met occasionally to advance the emerging field of scholarship. They found value in collaborating through peer information exchanges to discuss the evolving field of nonprofit education and the attendant issues and opportunities for research, curriculum development, and community engagement.
