Abstract

This study compares the beliefs of administrators and.learning disabilities service providers at colleges and universities regardingthe accommodations faculty should make for students with learning disabilities. Completed questionnaires on the appropriate accommodations were received from 226 administrators and 221 service providers at four-year institutions. Service providers were more willing than administrators to have faculty provide accommodations to students with learning disabilities. No differences were found for the following institutional variables: size ofinstitution; degree ofacademic competitiveness; public or private status; and, presence or absence of a special program for students with learning disabilities.
