Abstract

Many feel that individuals with visual impairments are limited in their ability to participate in many sports including combative sports. However, athletes with visual impairments have competed in combatives including wrestling and Judo for many years, often against sighted opponents. The purpose of this article is to present information on how to create a Judo program for Judo club directors, physical education teachers at schools for the blind, and camps directors who work with children with visual impairments.
